Years 7-11

Altrincham Grammar School for Boys is usually oversubscribed for all year groups in terms of those wishing to join the school, and places available.

Applicants who wish to be assessed for an in-year transfer to AGSB must apply through Trafford Council Application Portal - LINK . Applicants should apply only once per academic year.

Trafford Local Authority will then notify AGSB of applicants who wish to be assessed. AGSB Admissions will then contact parents/carers by email regarding the next steps. Please note this can take several weeks from the date of application.

Qualified applicants will be added to the waiting list.

Applicants who have previously applied and have been assessed as not suitable for entry must leave a minimum of twelve months before re-applying.
