Altrincham Grammar School for Boys excel in Academic League Tables both nationally and regionally
We are delighted that, once again, Altrincham Grammar School for Boys has been ranked as one of the best secondary schools in the UK as part of The Sunday Times Parent Power league table. The guide lists the 1000 most successful secondary schools nationally and it's wonderful to see AGSB once again featuring in the top echelon, as the highest-placed boys’ state school in the North of England, and 24th highest-placed state school nationally.

We’re also thrilled to see AGSB’s academic and all-round excellence recognised in the Manchester Evening News by being named best state secondary in the region for Progress 8 and for Grade 5 or above in English and Maths.
To cap off an outstanding year, AGSB have been placed 16th in the country for Progress 8 with a value added score of 1.32.
